BUILDING RESTORATION
BRIEF – To
restore the existing timber sliding sash windows, repair
existing brickwork and repointing in hydraulic lime.

DETAILS – To
restore existing Grade I 19th Century timber frame
domestic dwelling with Georgian façade. Barker & Associates
carried out research and trial areas of repair prior
to engaging specialist cleaners to remove the paint
surface. On completion of the paint removal, the brickwork
was carefully repaired using new hand made clay bricks
by the Bulmer Brick & Tile Co. The brickwork to
the outer skin of the left circular bay was replaced
whilst retaining the flat brick arches. The brickwork
was re-pointed in hydraulic lime.
