Barker & Associates condition
survey is a surveying package, which has been written to run
as a database within Microsoft Access.
|
 |
Data is collected and recorded about
the room name, location, usage, size etc and then more detailed
information is recorded about the elements within the room and
their current condition, together with a priority for carrying
out the works, a year, a budget cost and any other relevant
comments.
|
 |
Similarly, data is collected
about the external of each building and also the grounds.
Once the data has been inputted, standard reports can be prepared
by the computer at the click of a button, including: -
- Area Summaries
- Lists of all works and conditions
- Yearly lists of works with priorities and costs
- Overall totals showing costs on a building by building
and priority basis
|
 |
Since the combination of reports
that can be requested are almost unlimited, a specific query
can be written to withdraw only the information relative to
a particular request, eg. Essential works to windows in year
2000.
|
 |
The format of the database allows
almost unlimited interrogation of the data stored within the
database, making our package a very powerful and useful tool
to anybody responsible for looking after and maintaining buildings.
