The Education and Skills Funding Agency has announced the next round of Expansion Funding for Selective Schools in England and Wales. Known as the Selective Schools Expansion Fund (SSEF) the purpose of this fund is to support the expansion of selective schools where:
• There is a need for additional places, both in terms of a shortfall of secondary places in the local area and a demand from parents for more selective places
• Schools have ambitious and realistic plans for increasing access for disadvantaged pupils
• They have plans to work with other local schools to increase access for disadvantaged pupils and to raise attainment.
Academy Trusts and Local Authority maintained schools can submit applications to the SSEF capital funding, for the 2019 to 2020 financial year.

The deadline for submitting an application is 23rd April 2019, midday.
