Barker Associates assisted the PCC in the preparation and submission of a Heritage Lottery Funding (HLF) bid for urgent high-level repairs to the church tower. A Victorian repair of Roman cement was deteriorating due to water ingress and rusting ferrous fixings. Barker Associates developed and specified sympathetic and practical repairs in line with good conservation philosophy. Stainless steel, render and brickwork repairs were commissioned to reinstate the Medieval and Victorian detailing. The opportunity was also taken to repair and re-lead the spire, last undertaken in 1816.
