Hedingham offers A level, B Tech Cambridge Technical qualifications and more recently added T Level qualifications to their offering.
The Brief
Hedingham approached Barker to assist with their bid application and subsequent project management to create a new facility to deliver T Level qualification in Digital Business Services.
The aim of the T Level bid was to provide additional ICT teaching space to facilitate delivery of the Digital Business Services programme in 2023.
The Solution
The new ICT area comprises of two contemporary classrooms resourced with state-of-the-art computer technology. Each ICT classroom accommodates a minimum of 20 computer workstations. There is also a break-out room which can be used as a conference or meeting room.
Hedingham have launched the Digital Business Services T Level course with the first cohort starting in September 2022. The 2-year course offers the unique opportunity to experience an extended work placement, as well as study for this high-profile Level 3 qualification.
The Outcome
Working with Barker, Hedingham were successful in their bid and were awarded £637,570.16 to construct a single storey two classroom ICT extension. The T Level block was officially opened by The Rt Hon James Cleverly MP on 21 October.
