The need for Trusts to have route map for achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030 has never been greater, and it can be hard to know where to start. Creating an environmental policy will help your Trust to develop a structured and supported approach to change.
CST members are invited to join sustainability partners, Alex Green, Programme Manager of the Let’s Go Zero campaign, and Jonathan Coyles, Partner at Barker, to gain some practical, actionable insights into developing your Trust’s environmental policy. It will help you to understand the purpose of an environmental policy, how to develop one and what it means on a day-to-day basis in the context of academy trust.
This session provides structure and context in relation to energy, water, waste, travel, food, procurement, and school grounds. It also explores how the policy can impact the culture and curriculum within each of your schools as well and the community that each academy supports.
