The Department for Education (DfE) has announced its allocation of Condition Improvement Fund 2021/22 round. Total funding of £483m for various school condition projects has been confirmed.
It is yet another successful year of CIF bids for Barker with over £30 million funding secured for our academy clients. More than 100 of our submissions have been approved. Successful projects range from £45,000.00 refurbishment projects to £1.4 million heating system upgrades.
The DfE received requests for more than £1.3 billion for over 3800 projects to this year’s round. A total of £483 million for 1466 projects across 1199 academies and sixth-form colleges has been allocated.
It is important to note that over 6.75% of the total allocation has been won by Barker reflecting the thoroughness of our submissions.
Robert Gould, Partner and Head of Funding Bids said, “This is a fantastic result and a testament to the power of partnerships between Barker and our clients. To continue to deliver high quality bids whilst working under COVID restrictions has required hard work, flexibility and professionalism all round. We are absolutely delighted with the outcomes for our clients, and we look forward to delivering these projects.”
The limited funding available and the large number of applications received means that not all projects were successful. Academies will be able to Appeal the decision with the deadline for this being the 9th July.
Barker will be able to support those Academies looking to Appeal their CIF bids. For more information email or call us on 1279 647111.
Barker maintains an outstanding track record of CIF submissions with sector-leading success rates. We fully support our clients beyond the bid submissions all the way through project planning, procurement and project delivery to enrich teaching and learning environments.
