CIF 2023/24 Success: millions of funding secured for our academy clients

The Department for Education (DfE) has announced its allocation of Condition Improvement Fund 2023/24 round. Total funding of £456m for various school condition projects has been confirmed.

It is yet another successful year of CIF bids for Barker. Successful projects range from £50,000 safeguarding projects to £1.7M heating programmes.

The DfE received requests for funding for over 3,061 projects to this year’s round. A total of £456 million for 1,033 projects across 859 academies and sixth-form colleges has been allocated.

Robert Gould, Partner and Head of Funding Bids said, “This is a fantastic result and a testament to the power of partnerships between Barker and our clients. Our team continues to deliver high quality bids through hard work, flexibility and professionalism all round. We are absolutely delighted with the outcomes for our clients, and we look forward to delivering these projects.”

Appealing the CIF 23/24 Outcome

The limited funding available and the large number of applications received means that not all projects were successful. Academies will be able to Appeal the CIF 23/24 outcome. The deadline for this is Tuesday 13th June 2023.

Our CIF consultants at Barker will be able to support those Academies looking to Appeal their CIF bids. For more information emailor call us on 1279 647111.

Barker maintains an outstanding track record of  CIF submissions with sector-leading success rates. We fully support both schools and multi academy trusts beyond the bid submissions all the way through project planning, procurement and project delivery to enrich teaching and learning environments.
