We are proud to announce that Barker has been named Specialist Consultancy of the Year at the Education Estates Awards 2026, recognising our work in helping schools and trusts reduce carbon emissions and improve learning environments.
This award celebrates the impact of our innovative Barker Energy360™ approach, which combines estate intelligence, energy data and strategic planning to help schools make confident, evidence-based investment decisions. Through our work with national programmes including the DfE’s Net Zero Accelerator Programme and the Great British Energy Solar Partnerships initiative, we have supported schools in delivering meaningful carbon and cost savings.
Over the past two years alone, Barker has delivered more than 700 energy projects across the education sector, including solar PV, LED lighting, EV infrastructure and heat decarbonisation projects.
This award also recognises our commitment to collaboration and social value. From engaging directly with students and staff on climate action to supporting green skills development and sharing best practice across the sector, we remain focused on creating lasting positive impact beyond individual projects.
