Swift House, an office building, was selected by a leading insurance firm for a complete internal strip-out and remodelling. The insurance firm required a modern, efficient workspace solution to support their expanding workforce and evolving operational needs. The brief focused on creating a dynamic working environment that promotes collaboration and enhances employee wellbeing. Key objectives included creating versatile social spaces, maximising natural light, and integrating biophilic elements such as living walls and planting to foster a healthy, vibrant atmosphere.
The project presented several design challenges, including the need to reimagine the office space to reflect the evolving needs of the organisation. Our team carefully zoned the space to optimise circulation and balance open-plan areas with discrete meeting spaces. Ensuring all floor levels benefited from access to social spaces, shower and changing facilities, and secure storage for personal belongings was crucial. Additionally, introducing bespoke timber panelling and moss feature walls required meticulous planning and execution.
We combined formal meeting rooms with less structured breakout spaces to promote collaboration. The new layout optimised circulation and improved the overall flow of the office, with versatile social areas, shower and changing facilities, and secure storage for personal belongings. The introduction of natural materials and biophilic design created a warm, inviting atmosphere, enhancing staff wellbeing. The insurance firm’s workforce now enjoys a modern, efficient workspace that supports their expanding needs and fosters collaboration and productivity.
