The Department for Education (DfE) recently announced its allocation of the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) 2025/26.
The limited funding available and the large number of applications received means that the DfE is not able to fund all projects. Whilst it will be disappointing if your project has not been successful, there may be scope for your case to be reassessed via an Appeal.
If you are unhappy with the CIF 25/26 outcome and considering an Appeal, Barker can help. Our CIF consultants will review your bids and advise you on the best way forward for your CIF appeals or future resubmissions. We work with various schools and multi-academy trusts in the UK to help them with winning CIF bids and appeals.
In the recent round of CIF bids, Barker has helped clients secure millions worth of funding. Successful projects range from a £80,000 drainage project to a £1.75M roofing project.
