Barker Associates were appointed Project Managers on this joint venture to provide a new changing pavilion on existing school playing fields.
The project was funded using an innovative joint approach from both Greensward Academy and Hawkwell Athletic Football Club who had secured a grant from the FA’s Football Foundation. The school use the facilities during the week and the club use the pavilion for training at evenings and weekends.
A modular building system was utilised to maximise value for money and minimise installation time. The project was delivered by Net Zero Buildings and formally opened by local MP Mark Francois and Southend United FC goalkeeper Ted Smith.
