Overview
Barker was tasked with building a new purpose-built science building containing 8 teaching spaces as part of a new science campus at Hockerill College.
The Outcome
The new building replaced a previous, substandard science accommodation and will be reused as general teaching spaces.
The site is located in a conservation area. The design therefore responds to the sensitive context and provides a contemporary design to sit alongside the grade II listed Thames House.
